New Ross bypass in Co Wexford was officially opened on January 29th 2020.
The road incorporates the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge. At 887m long it is Ireland’s longest bridge and also the world’s longest “extrados” bridge – a combination of cable stay and pier support.
Sealoflex® applied a waterproofing membrane on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge based on experiences at several projects in the Netherlands.
Sealoflex® SC is a modified bitumen with a high polymer content. It has been specially developed for waterproofing of concrete structures, such as bridges, viaducts and tunnels, that are be overlaid with asphalt. It can be applied on newly constructed as well as existing structures.

Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge

The product is called RoofBond Stretch 60 and is used as a Lead free flashing on Chimneys, around rooflights and even on corrugated or "wrinkly tin" roofs.
